Following the closure of RAF Lyneham, the £121 million project began on the build of the new Defence College of Technical Training. Part of the existing apron had to be removed to make way for some new structures which were to be part of the new training College. K&B Crushers were asked to complete this process by Drillcut UK Ltd.
With Drillcut providing the services of all relevant saw cutting to the areas of the apron to be removed, we then provided Excavators and Dumpers to move this material to a designated area for further processing, crushing and stockpiling.
With the material removed making up pat of the apron which housed the Hercules Aircraft, this material was extremely hard going, but with the use of our fully maintained equipment, we were able to process and crush all the material to specification with no delay or difficulty.
